Freedom at Topshop

I went in to Topshop the other day on my lunch break and grabbed a few pieces and some of them were on sale. I was really pleased with some of the pieces because their things I would have bought full price anyway. But who doesn't like I bargain, cause I certainly do!

So it's about 11 days late, but nonetheless its here. I got a couple messages asking me what I wore for NYE so I decide to do a quick post showing you guys what I managed to put together. Send me yours at pics @sue_star9 on twitter (there's a follow me link on the right side of this page).

Kept it simple with just earing because the dress makes a big enough statement so both my wrists and my neck was on mute for the evening

New look Clutch and Platform wedges ( Comfortable and stylish, I had stilettos but the club was finishing at 6...I went for safe option cause it beats sitting down the whole night!)

Beauty: Beach Waves

It's taken me so long to figure out how to create a beach look without the curls dropping throughout the day. I used Charles Worthing's Rough and Tousled Salt Spray ( It was in my Elle goody bag which was helpful) and Ghd's to create this look and TRESemme ultra hold to keep it in place.

Trend Alert S/S2012 Edition:Fall in Love with Colour

Bottega Veneta S/S 2012
This time last year we saw the catwalks and the high-street filled with lots of bright and vibrant block coloured pieces that embodied the power to brighten up even the gloomiest of days. So what's the next chapter in our fashion evolution i hear you ask? Think BRIGHT Prints Bold Cuts and of course Bright Shoes!

Marc Jacobs S/S 2012

So you have to make a choice between playing it safe with your current wardrobe which consists of black, black and the occasional white piece or making a statement by investing in the some bold coloured pieces (its a no brainer). I know stepping out your comfort zone isn't easy but thats the exciting part! and trust me you will never look back because lets face it life is so much more fun in colour!
Burberry Prorsum S/S 2012
The days of dressing matchy matchy (it is as it sounds) is a thing of the past (thank God we have realised that there is more to fashion then dressing in one colour from head to toe). Nowadays, when you are dealing with colour I find the best approach is as mixing and matching. Find a print you like and then find another coloured piece that you feel compliments it. Don't be afraid to wear a completley different colour shoe either, cause if you look at the Bottega Veneta image above, you can see how the green shoe creates a great contrast against orange prints on the dress. For some reason it just works!

Sue's Picks : Fall in Love on the High-street
So I am well aware that the majority of us don't have a designer budget to our disposable ( we will get there eventually #ambition) so as usual I am going to give you guys a breakdown of my favourite high-street pieces that make the trend accesiable for fashionistas like you and I.
