All summer long i have been desperately seeking a new shade of lipstick. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted. All I knew at the time was that I wanted step outside of my comfort zone (which generally consists of reds,pinks and nudes) and try something fresh. You see, what I love the most about lipstick is it can take you from day to night in a few seconds. So eventually after raiding make up counters all over London and researching different lipstick looks i came across the colour purple...And i fell head over heels in love!
Celebrity fans of this shade include the ever so talented Alicia Keys (see picture left), Gossip girl's very own Leighton Meester (see above) and Ms X factor herself, Kelly Rowland (see above ). I made my way over to the Mac store in Westsfield's shopping center to play with different tones and shades of purple until I found the perfect one for myself. But there was just so many to choose from. After testing all the ones i liked, the two in particularly stood out for me were Rebel and Up the Amp. What I love about theses two shades is that they are so different. Rebel is a very deep, seductive purple whereas up the amp is more flirty and girly shade of purple.
