Kanye Debuts his S/S 2011 collection at PFW

Kanye West is a Producer, Songwriter, Rapper, Fashion Icon and he can now add Fashion designer to his list of credentials. Yes, that right folks, Kanye West has launched his first ever women's s/s 2011 collection which he debuted at Paris Fashion week yesterday. Kanye's 'Ready to wear collection' consisted of plentlty of plunging necklines, sequins and gliter , Zipped Trousers and lots and lots of fur! Including a fur backpack which I absolutely loved. The colour palette of the line ranges from whites, nudes, blacks, sliver and Kanye uses teal and orange coloured pieces to inject some colour to the line.

The event took place at the Lycee Henri IV venue in Paris. Stars on hand to support Mr West's debut to the fashion world include Misses paparazi herself, Lindsay Lohan, Ciara, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Jared Leto.

Kanye used gold plated necklaces marked with name "Yezzi" on them to accesorise each of his outfits.

Lets take a look at some of the ensembles from the collection...
Whites+ Nudes
Denims +Sequin Blazer+Oversized Graphic Print Jackect
Rectangular shaped Plunging necklines
Ziptastic Trousers + Fur tail
Fur Backpack + Nude Bodycon with visible Zip
All Black Everything + ...
These stunning white strappy heels

Kanye has just released an album with hip hop mogul Jay Z called "Watch the Throne" and is currently working on various other music and fashion projects. Although, some fashion critics have already labelled the collection as not cohesive enough ;I think that this show marks the start of a long career in fashion for Kanye. I think the most exciting thing about his coming collections is that Kanye doesn't follow rules, infact he does the opposite. So it would intresting to see how he puts his own spin on mainstream trends which will hopefully allow him to reshape and remould the fashion industry. GO KANYE!

Man of the Momment: Bradley Copper

So how excited are we about Bradley Copper winning Best International Male at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2011 last week. Clearly, Mr Copper is more than a pretty face and he was even described by Charlize Theron as "Hollywood's next leading man". He is most definitely one to look out for!

The Colour Purple: Mac Lipstick Review

Kelly Rowland

Leighton Meester

All summer long i have been desperately seeking a new shade of lipstick. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted. All I knew at the time was that I wanted step outside of my comfort zone (which generally consists of reds, pinks and nudes) and try something fresh. You see, what I love the most about lipstick is it can take you from day to night in a few seconds. So eventually after raiding make up counters all over London and researching different lipstick looks i came across the colour purple...And i fell head over heels in love!

Celebrity fans of this shade include the ever so talented Alicia Keys (see picture left), Gossip girl's very own Leighton Meester (see above) and Ms X factor herself, Kelly Rowland (see above ). I made my way over to the Mac store in Westsfield's shopping center to play with different tones and shades of purple until I found the perfect one for myself. But there was just so many to choose from. After testing all the ones i liked, the two in particularly stood out for me were Rebel and Up the Amp. What I love about theses two shades is that they are so different. Rebel is a very deep, seductive purple whereas up the amp is more flirty and girly shade of purple.
Rebel

Up the Amp

I couldn't decide between these two different shades at Mac so I thought I'd treat myself to both.

Style Crush: Kanye West

Mr West is in the BUILDING!!!
More GQ then OGLove him or hate him for his outspoken personality and awkward sense of humor (generally he is the only person in the world who understands his own jokes). There is no denying that Mr West is one of the most stylish men in hip hop. Personally, I love Yezzy's confidence, and admire his fearless ability to take risks with his fashion choices. So on that note lets have a quick look at the style evolution of Kanye West.
Through the wire. Here is Kanye post op. When Kanye first came on to the music scene with his College Dropout album it was very rare too see him without his Louis Vuitton backpack and his gold Jesus piece necklace.
3 albums later....

808 heatbreak: Kanye trades in his bright sweaters for a more clean cut look. From this point on, Kanye's style is all about tailored jackets, crisp shirts and trench coats. However, Kanye manages to maintain his rockstar edge and quirky style with accessories like this heart brooch or this bright pink watch (see below).

Kanye Reinvents The Biker
Kanye is Looking hella cool in his ray bans and leather jacket which he then polishes off with a classic converse shoe.
Yezzy after leaving the Elie Sabb catwalk show in a tuxedo minus the bow, cause his that cool!
The Lou Vuitton Don
So now that we have taken a look at the growth Kanye's style and comes to no surprise that self proclaimed "Lou Vuitton Don" is the face of the Louis Vuitton's menswear campaign.
Mr West has traded in his backpack for the duffle
Take notes fellas and remember to appreciate where you got your style inspiration from. Scream loud and scream it proud: "YEZZY TAUGHT ME!"

And if your still hungry for so more Kanye? Here's the 1st single from Kanye West's joint album with rap mogul Jay Z. Enjoy!

Trend Alert: The New Length, Meet the Midi

The Full Skirt
This time last year we saw 50's inspired full skirts taking over the a/w runways. It was all about volume. The bigger the better. Fashion houses such as Louis Vuttion, Marc Jacobs and Dior all embraced the bold statment in their a/w 10 collections, that the 'full skirt' was back with a vegenece with one mission; catwalk domination.
A/W 10 Louis Vuttion
A year later...here we are , we have seen the 'full skirt' blossom internationally from designer to highstreet. Celebrities such as Ann Hathway and Rachel Bilson (see below) have both shown us how to wear the trend and have proved to be big fans the full skirt.

Ann Hathaway
With a new season around the corner , I think that it is only right they we incoporate a new length in to our wardrobes. So without further ado , I introduce you to the Midi!
Meet the Midi...
Firstly let me say that I am absolutely obsessed with this new length. It's classy, sophisticated and very feminine. The year of the lady is back! What i love about the midi is that it so versatile. It can be worn casually with a sweater and then dressed up for evening out with the girls, with a pussybow blouse and a pair of platforms. The cuts and shapes of the midi also vary. So whether your a pleats queen or colour blocking freak, you are bound something that suits your style and will compliment your current wardrobe pieces.
